Michael Cooper
Michael Cooper has been involved in various bands though the years with a primary focus on Hip-Hop.

Michael began his music career playing bass for a couple different Metal bands in the Des Moines area.  In 1999, at the age of 16, Michael formed a rap group called the Unidentified Suspects with long time friend Brian Campos.  The group was later joined by Richard Defrancisco and Jason McFall to solidify the Suspect collective.  The Suspects were known for their dark lyrical content, wild stage antics and non-linear song structure.   The group went on to pave the way for other hip hop artists in Des Moines at a time when Metal was the dominant force in clubs like Hairy Mary's and House of Bricks.  Many artists in the local Hip-Hop scene have named the Unidentified Suspects as a direct influence and inspiration.  The Unidentified Suspects played their last show at the Vaudeville Mews in 2007.

In 2003 Michael created a side solo-project under the name MC Genetics.  Jason McFall (DJ Blocko) handled the beat production and scratching until 2010 when Michael obtained the proper equipment to make his own music.  During this time Michael began writing music with his Cousin Annie Gaster.  Michael and Annie settled on a band name and began playing shows as 2 AM Resistance.  2 AM has various rotating members including Chris Gaster on turntables and Shan Reikena (Taciturn/Saturn Ascends) on drums.  Michael also writes instrumental scores and instrumental hip hop under the name MicrowaveDeath.
