Kristin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelors degree in Harp Performance, studying with Mary Beckman.  During five summers she attended the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine, under the guidance of master teacher’s Jeanne and Alice Chalifoux.  As a Suzuki Harp Teacher Trained by Mary Kay Waddington, Kristin has taught the skills of playing the harp to all ages from young children to adults.  Along with managing a private teaching studio Kristin also directs the student performing group the Des Moines Harp Ensemble.

As a member of the Odyssey Trio, Kristin performs with flutist, Sandra Moore Wacha and cellist, Tom Hudson.   Founded in 1996 the Odyssey Trio have recorded five CD’s, “Winter White”, “Always Autumn”, “Sensations of Summer”, “Holly & Ivy” and the most recent CD, released in 2008, “Spring.”  The Odyssey Trio has performed in concert for the Ottumwa, Perry, Grand View Nielsen and St. John’s Concert series.  In 2000 and 2008 the trio was selected to play in concert for the National Flute Convention in Columbus, Ohio, and Kansas City, Missouri. The Trio provides a relaxing and inspiring variety of classical concert material that has great appeal for all audiences.
